Allyson Felix
Allyson Nicole Felix was born on November 18, 1985, located in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, her father was a pastor ordained in the Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet elementary school. Felix displayed an early talent for sports when she was in high school at Los Angeles Baptist High School. She discovered her sprinting talent at that moment. Within a short time after her first attempt, Felix finished second in the 200 meters race at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix was signed to a career in professional sports with Adidas in 2003, and later enrolled in University of Southern California to learn about elementary education. One year later Felix was awarded the first Olympic medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece breaking a junior world record by sprinting 200 meters at 22.18 seconds. In 2005, she was the world's youngest champion in 200 meters during the Helsinki World Championships. She won the title again in 2007, beating her former Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix competed at her first Olympics at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo regularly placing in the top three of her events.
