Ellie Jane Goulding born 30th December, 1986 in Hereford England. Tracey Goulding Summers was her mother's employee in a supermarket. Arthur Goulding is the father. She is from German English and French descent. The first time she was a model occurred during her senior year in high school. Crawford initially worked with the small agency of modeling which was sold by Elite Model Management. In 1983, she was a participant in the Elite's Look of the Year contest and was a finalist. Following her graduation from DeKalb in 1983, she received a scholarship for Northwestern University. However, after just one term at the school, she dropped out of it to concentrate upon her career as a model.
